The Role
This position is responsible for leading the application architecture and technical direction of a modern, Azure-hosted insurance platform. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, and capable of handling complex, high-volume data workflows.
Operating as the senior technical authority, you will balance hands-on architectural design with oversight of engineering standards, infrastructure decisions, and platform evolution. The role combines strategic responsibility with practical delivery in a fast-moving product environment.
Key Responsibilities

Own and evolve the overall application and platform architecture

Design scalable, secure Azure-based solutions for data-intensive workflows

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams

Define and enforce coding, design, and deployment standards

Oversee data storage, ingestion, and processing at scale

Support complex integrations and client-facing technical requirements

Review architecture, designs, and code across the platform

Collaborate with Product and Delivery teams to align technical priorities
About You
You are a senior application or solution architect with strong experience building and scaling enterprise platforms in Azure. You are comfortable operating close to the technology while also influencing long-term architectural direction.
You enjoy working in smaller, high-impact environments where technical decisions have a direct effect on the product, customers, and commercial outcomes. Experience in insurance, regulated environments, or data-heavy platforms is highly advantageous.
