The Role
This position sits within Mission’s UK and Europe Digital & Technology team, supporting underwriters through the delivery of modern digital and technology solutions.
You will lead multiple complex initiatives across Mission’s digital portfolio, coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to deliver to time, quality and budget. The role blends hands-on project leadership with strong stakeholder engagement, governance and delivery discipline.
Reporting to the Technical Lead, you will act as the central point of accountability for delivery, ensuring risks are managed, dependencies are understood, and stakeholders remain aligned throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver projects to scope, time, quality and budget with clear delivery plans and milestones
• Establish and run governance and delivery ceremonies, ensuring decisions and actions are owned and tracked
• Manage scope, change control, risks, issues and dependencies across multiple workstreams
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including data, underwriting, operations, QA and vendors
• Oversee third-party and vendor deliverables, holding partners accountable for quality and outcomes
• Support testing strategy and execution including system, integration and UAT phases
• Plan and manage cutover, release and hypercare activities into live operations
• Produce clear, concise stakeholder communications and status reporting
• Track costs and benefits against business cases and delivery forecasts
• Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices, templates and playbooks
About You
You are an experienced Delivery Lead or Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex software, data or platform initiatives in regulated environments.
You are comfortable operating across technical and non-technical teams, enjoy bringing structure to complexity, and are confident engaging senior stakeholders while staying close to delivery detail.
Experience & Skills
• 5+ years’ experience delivering software or data-led projects, ideally within insurance or financial services
• Proven delivery of integrations, migrations or SaaS implementations
• Strong governance, planning and reporting capability using tools such as Confluence, MS Project or Azure DevOps
• Solid vendor and third-party management experience
• Understanding of delivery lifecycles, security, data protection and audit considerations
• Familiarity with agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches
• Insurance or commercial underwriting exposure beneficial
