The Role
This position sits within Mission’s UK and Europe Digital and Technology team, working closely with underwriting, finance, operations, sales, and executive stakeholders.
You will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, building and maintaining reporting and dashboards, and supporting the development of scalable data and analytics processes. The role plays a key part in helping the business understand performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
You will operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment, collaborating across teams and contributing hands-on to analytics, reporting, and data quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Define and deliver metrics, dashboards, and analytical models to support business performance

Build and maintain reporting platforms to enable data-driven decision-making

Analyse complex datasets and provide actionable insights to business leaders

Gather, clean, validate, and manage data across multiple sources

Define and track key performance indicators relevant to insurance and underwriting

Collaborate with Sales, Technology, Operations, and Underwriting teams to develop scalable metrics and processes

Support the development and maintenance of internal ETL processes

Communicate analytical findings clearly through visualisations and reporting

Experience & Skills

3+ years’ experience as a Business Data Analyst, ideally within insurance

Strong experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Domo, or Qlik

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation

Proficiency in SQL and experience working with SQL Server

Experience cleansing, transforming, and validating data for analysis

Experience working in Agile environments

Understanding of commercial insurance and claims processes

Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
